Adult Bible Study and Fellowship Groups
Gathering together and encouraging one another with the Word of God is an important part of who we are. We take to heart 2 Timothy 3:16-17 when it says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” Because the Word of God is so important in the life of the believer, we try to create as many opportunities as possible to be encouraged and shaped by it.
Sunday Morning Thematic Study
Every Sunday morning at 9:15am our members gather together in small groups to fellowship, pray for one another, and to be encouraged in the truths of the Word. These groups are generally made up of about 20-30 people who are in the same stage of life together. They focus their studies on practical and biblical themes and typically work through carefully selected thematic studies that are based on Scripture. Sometimes, they work through books of the Bible.
Also at 9:15am, we offer one course that studies through books of the Bible. If you prefer working through biblical books in a verse by verse manner, this is the course for you. Simultaneously, we offer one ongoing study of the Bible’s overall theology. If you’ve never studied systematic theology or biblical theology, or if you just need a refresher course, we encourage you to take this class. Christians need keep “the whole counsel of God” in their minds, and need a theological framework from which to live all of life. The theology class requires some limited outside reading, but it does so to aid you in your understanding of Scriptural truth.
