Our Student Ministry exists to support parents in their role as spiritual leaders, and to help teens see God’s glory and name it as the thing for which they will live their lives. We believe adolescents are building on their knowledge and understanding, allowing them to assimilate their experiences and to formulate their own ideas. For these young people, it is about learning to live, explain, and defend their faith according to the wisdom of a biblical worldview. Therefore, we focus our ministry to Students on helping them formulate a coherent account of biblical ideas, through pastoral teaching and counseling.
FUEL is the centerpiece of the Student Ministry. It is our Wednesday night student worship service for seventh through twelfth graders. The FUEL Praise Team normally leads worship and our Pastor of Family Ministry normally teaches through a book of the Bible. The large group time is normally followed by a small group time.
We also have a Sunday morning Bible time for sixth through twelfth grades. We meet in a large group for announcements and prayer, before we break into graded small groups for Bible study. We have three age graded study groups for girls and three for boys, while our Seniors meet together.
Through the year, there are also several opportunities for students to serve through leadership, worship, and service projects. You will also find that we offer several annual ministry events, such as discipleship weekends and family mission trips, as well as a few fellowship activities.
