As Jesus arrives back in Bethany following the death of Lazarus, his first conversation with Martha reveals the genuine nature of her faith as well as the significance of His Person. When Jesus says “I AM the Resurrection and the Life” he is not merely claiming that He has the power to resurrect and give life, but that union with His Person is literally the means by which the believer is brought from death to life. As you celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, consider the truth of His claim for yourself.
