The Consecration of His Glory
Chapter 29 of Exodus details the consecration of the Aaronic Priesthood. By God’s design, those descended directly from Aaron would serve among the Levites as the ones responsible for overseeing all the ministries of the tabernacle, maintaining the articles in the Holy Place, and serving as the High Priests in making atonement for the people. Their consecration to the Priesthood foreshadows the greater realities of the Priesthood of Christ, the Priesthood of the Believer, and the very Presence of God in the midst of His people.
