When Your Service to Jesus Makes You Too Busy for Jesus
Are you a Mary or a Martha? That is the question we often ask ourselves when reflecting on this passage at the end of Luke 10, but it is based on a very deficient interpretation of the text. The story of Martha and Mary is a story about two godly women who are both seeking to faithfully love Jesus, but one of them struggles with being pulled away. Their story teaches us that dwelling in the Word of God is absolutely essential to a life of active service for the Son of God.
