Ecuador 2020
Please pray for our team as they prepare to leave this Saturday: Shawn and John David Merithew, Lynette Smith, Eric Bertolotti, Susie Hough, Mackenzie Donaldson, Caroline Parsons, Madison Corey, Elijah and Trinity Ward, Allie, Emily, and Evan Shepard. They will return March 22. Pray for safety, good health, strength and energy for everyone, and pray for a fruitful trip.

Annual Showcase
The Cornerstone Grammar School will be showcasing what they’ve learned and accomplished this year, and everyone is invited! Show your support for Cornerstone and the Grammar School students this Thursday evening at 6:30 in the sanctuary.

Morningview Choir
Join our choir! Rehearsals are Wednesdays 6-7:30pm. See Trey Head or Elizabeth Wilkinson if you are interested. We would love to have you sing with us!

Women’s Bible Study
You can still sign-up for our 6-week Women’s Bible Study through Nehemiah which begins March 25. Choose either the Wednesday night group led by Lindsey Schofield (7:30-8:45pm), or the Thursday morning group led by Rebekah Lee (9:30-10:45am). Both groups will meet at the church. Childcare will be available upon registration. Required study guides are $8. You can register on Realm:, or by calling the church office. Study books have arrived- You can pay for and pick those up in the church office.

Capitol Heights Tutoring Ministry
We need tutors Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings 7:30-8:30. If you are interested in tutoring students, please contact Lynette Smith: call 277-0455, or text 703-477-7912.
Also, members from Morningview and Gateway Baptist Church have been meeting on Tuesday mornings at 7am in the community center adjacent to Capitol Heights Middle School to lead a time of devotion and prayer with students. Anyone is welcome to join that ministry as well.

Deacon and Lay Pastor Nominations
It’s time to nominate Morningview men for the offices of deacon and lay pastor. Please see the nomination inserts in your Sunday Morning Worship Bulletins!

Family Promise
Our Family Promise Ministry is in need of more volunteers! This ministry is to help support our families who are fostering or adopting. If you can pray and provide one meal per month for a family, you are the perfect candidate for a Care Community member! Nursery Help Needed
Who can give 90 minutes of their time once every eight weeks? If you are not already serving on our regular rotation of volunteers who care for babies-3yos during Sunday Morning Worship, please consider serving in this area! An easy background check is required. Please ask me (Lindsay) how you can get on the Worship Care rotation!

Morningview Men
Make plans now to join us April 16, 6-8pm, in Fellowship Hall for Cajun food, fellowship, and discipleship! Just $5/person for guys 6th grade and up! Register here:, or call the church office. Registered guests are welcome, too, so bring friends!

Church Budget
Please be in prayer for our Budget Committee, pastors, and deacons as they work together to finalize our 2020-2021 Budget. Members should receive Budget letters in mid-March. Our Special Called Business Meeting to discuss the budget is tentatively set for the evening of Sunday, March 22, in which case we would vote without discussion on Sunday morning, March 29.
