A Warning and a Blessing
The exorcism of a demon (Luke 11:14) had sparked the exchange in the previous passage, so Jesus returns to the subject of exorcism and uses it as a parable to warn us about a prevalent deception. And His warning is simple: Do not confuse the absence of evil with saving faith. If you do, you are worse off than before. We are going to explore that warning as well as the blessing He gives that is an exhortation to us all.
