Facing Unbelief and Rejection at Home
Jesus knows from first-hand experience that those who should know you the best can sometimes misunderstand and hate you the most. Even more, He knows that religious people can be some of the greatest impediments to gospel ministry. In this text, we see Him returning to His hometown of Nazareth to preach the good news. But rather than hearing and believing, His friends and neighbors refuse to believe He is the Messiah and actually try to kill Him.
