God's Most Incredible NO
At this point in Israel's history, David is moved to build a permanent temple for the Lord, but God responds that there is more yet to be done before that can happen. What follows next is one of the most important passages in redemptive history -- because even though the word "Covenant" is not used here, this passage contains God's covenant with David wherein He promises to establish David's throne forever.
