Message: “Comeuppance for Haman” from Shawn Merithew

A message from the series “Sermons.” In this text, evil Haman finally gets his comeuppance. Though he had built a gallows 75 feet tall to hang Mordecai, God providentially gave the king insomnia and had him reminded of the time Mordecai saved his life. So instead of sending Mordecai tot he gallows, Haman is forced by the king to honor Mordecai throughout the city of Susa. Message: “Providence in Opposing Plans” from Shawn Merithew

A message from the series “Sermons.” In the fifth chapter of Esther, we see Esther strategically inviting King Ahasuerus and Haman to a feast to make her request for the deliverance of her people. We also see Haman given over to great bitterness because Mordecai refuses to bow the knee to honor him. Yet at the divine level, we see the providential hand of God moving to bless Esther’s efforts and moving to prepare Haman for humiliation and death.

Message: “For Such a Time as This” from Shawn Merithew

A message from the series “Sermons.” Fear can be something that is very crippling, even to the believer in Christ. Like Esther, we can be faced with incredibly difficult decisions where there are great risks we undertake as we walk the path of obedience. What we learn from this text is that God’s Persons, Providence, and Promises are worthy of our trust, and as we walk by faith in His purpose, our fears are conquered.
