Message: “Potholes Along the Road of Discipleship” from Shawn Merithew

Here in Luke 9, the disciples of Jesus were in a season of rough roads. They were being tempted by the Messianic fervor of the crowds, they pridefully argued over who would be the greatest in Christ's kingdom, and they were suspicious of any ministry outside their little group. As we finish chapter 9 of Luke, we will see that the struggles faced by the disciples are the same struggles we face on the path of discipleship. The only way to overcome is by the grace and strength of Christ.
