Message: “Sleeping with the Enemy” from Shawn Merithew

David came in to Saul’s life by defeating Philistines, and in this passage, David moves out of Saul’s life by joining Philistines. This is another passage where we see David falter in his faith and put his future leadership of Israel in jeopardy. This passage teaches us to consider well our source of security, to rightly judge the course of wisdom, and to beware of the outcome of our choices.
