Elizabeth's pregnancy was a miraculous gift from God, and when John the Baptist was born, God displayed His grace in yet another miracle! At the instant when Zechariah exercised faith and obedience in naming his son, God lifted his punishment, restored his ability to speak and hear, and anointed him with the Holy Spirit. That is when all kinds of praise and prophesy came pouring out. Zechariah's prophecy is a celebration of God fulfilling His promise to save His people!
