The Covenant Affirmed

Moses returns from the presence of God and recounts to the people the Book of the Covenant given to him by God on the holy mountain. Now the people are called to respond by submitting to God’s Word and entering into a formal covenant agreement with YAHWEH. This is the Old Covenant, which in itself foreshadows the New Covenant that will be fully realized and fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
