The Curse of Adam

When God looks at the world, He sees only two kinds of people: those who are in Adam and those who are in Christ. The second half of Romans five is one of the most difficult to interpret in the entire epistle, but as we do the hard work of exegeting Paul’s theological reasonings, we see that he drawing a parallel and contrast between Adam and Christ. In Adam, our federal head, we are all counted sinners, worthy of death and condemnation. In Christ, we are counted righteous, worthy of life and glorification. This sermon explores the first of these two critical truths.
