The Invitation to Persistent Prayer
When you take the time to really ponder the weight of what Jesus is saying here in this text, you realize that this is one of the most incredible promises of God that you will find in all of Scripture. With these words, the Sovereign God of heaven and earth is inviting us to pursue Him in prayer. Whatever our needs, He is our compassionate Father, and He wants us to depend upon him in faith. But to receive the bounty of this promise, we must humble ourselves and pursue Him with vigor.
