Jesus never had any intention of coming in earthly splendor and reigning in earthly power. He did not come to merely
liberate the Jewish nation from their Roman oppressors; He came to liberate men from their bondage to sin. Thus, it is
infinitely more appropriate that our burden bearer would enter Jerusalem on a beast of burden, in humility, receiving praise
from His people, and correcting the blind religious leaders of his day.
