For the believer, Thanksgiving is not just a holiday or a special occasion, it is a way of life. Because of Christ, we are beneficiaries of eternal realities that He has irrevocably secured for us, and thus we are able to be thankful even when we suffer. The simple fact is that faithful gospel ministry leads to rejection, suffering, and sometimes even death in this world. But Paul was more than willing to die to reach people with the gospel because knowing Christ is the greatest gift ever.
