Providence in Opposing Plans

Sermons

In the fifth chapter of Esther, we see Esther strategically inviting King Ahasuerus and Haman to a feast to make her request for the deliverance of her people. We also see Haman given over to great bitterness because Mordecai refuses to bow the knee to honor him. Yet at the divine level, we see the providential hand of God moving to bless Esther's efforts and moving to prepare Haman for humiliation and death.
